SMT Live x DIANA: A True Musical Story
Comin’ at you with the most exciting news. Our next #SMTLive event is going to be in New York on March 21 and it’s — wait for it — a group outing to go see DIANA: A True Musical Story on Broadway (insert shriek here!!). I had the chance to see the show in its initial run and you are going to love it. LOVE IT. Whether you grew up with Diana or are just learning about her now, it’s a crazy emotional and wildly entertaining journey through her brief time in the royal fold. For a taste of the music, I highly recommend listening to “If” from the second act on YouTube.
We’ve got a special section of discounted tickets in the mezzanine reserved for the Saturday matinee, so we can all sit together. Then we can all hang out after the show, obviously! UPDATE 1/31: We have more tickets for SMT Live x DIANA: A True Musical Story! There are two new options: $200 for premium front mezzanine seats or $100 for balcony seats.* You’ll be surrounded by fellow SMT fans in the balcony, but the majority of guests will be in the mezzanine. Everybody will get access to the after-the-show meet-up. And great news: I’m excited to announce that Tony Award-winning costume designer William Ivey Long will be joining me for a talkback after the show! I interviewed him for my book and for an article in Town & Country magazine. He is a gem and a total Diana fanatic. I can’t wait to dissect Diana fashion with him on stage.
*While some of the initial tickets were were able to offer at a slight discount, the second group of seats are not discounted. The amount charged represents the ticket price plus the theatre fees.
Please note: Tickets don’t have seat numbers. If you and a friend order separately but want to sit together, make sure you email bookevents@caa.com with your names so we can link your tickets and make sure you are seated next to one another.

Are seats assigned?
The box office will assign you a seat and you will pick up your ticket at the theater on the day of the event.
Will I be able to sit with my friends?
If you ordered separately from your friends, please email bookevents@caa.com so we can advise the box office to seat you together.
What if I bought my tickets for Diana the Musical separate from SMT?
You can still join us for the talkback after the show and the meet & greet. Email bookevents@caa.com with the subject line AFTER-SHOW ADDITION so we can add you to the guest list.
What if I’m an #SMT fan and want to join the meetup?
Due to space constraints, this meetup is limited to DIANA ticketholders.
